Über Sebastian Theißen

am Managing Partner of LIST Eco and lead a nationwide team of over 55 sustainability and ESG experts. Together, we provide holistic solutions across the full ESG and sustainability spectrum – from biodiversity and building physics to life cycle assessment and circular construction. Through close collaboration with other business units of the LIST Group, we develop fully integrated solutions throughout the entire building lifecycle. My PhD focuses on the integrated assessment of embodied energy, emissions, circularity, and pollutants in building services engineering, based on openBIM and digital building material passports. Since 2017, I have been involved in multiple research projects on sustainable and digital construction, including initiatives funded by the EU European Urban Initiative, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), Zukunft Bau (BBSR), and the German Federal Environmental Foundation (DBU). In addition, I am a founding member of the “Gütegemeinschaft Ökobilanzierungswerkzeuge e.V.”, a quality association for LCA Tools. Also, I am a DGNB trainer, member of the DGNB Committee for Life Cycle and Circular Building. In the field of standardization, I am involved in VDI and DIN as well as buildingSMART Germany in the area of BIM and sustainability. Previously, I have worked as a project engineer on green building certification projects in the USA and Germany.
