alstria was founded in January 2006 and converted into the first German REIT in 2007. In 2009, Olivier Elamine acknowledged that the most sustainable building is the one that was never built.

Sustainability has been integrated from the top down across all level of the company since 2009. Olivier Elamine is responsible for all matters concerning sustainability. alstria pioneered the first sustainability report among German real estate companies in 2010.

Olivier Elamine was honoured as Best European CEO Real Estate in 2012 (Institutional Investor All-Europe Executive), Most Entrepreneur CEO 2017 in Germany (Investment Lab) and has been established as one of the most reputable CEOs of DAX and MDAX companies (Faktenkontor 2018).
