1.1. Built World Innovation Network is a platform for the exchange of ideas between companies, investors, companies, and experts from the real estate industry.
1.2. Any products or offers from Built World Innovation Network GmbH (this website, the Built World Innovation Database, the Real Estate Innovation Contest, and the PropTech Map) are operated by the Built World Innovation GmbH (from now on referred to as BWI), Theresienhöhe 26, 80339, Munich, represented by Managing Director, Wolfgang Moderegger.
2. Terminology and offers
2.1. „Startups“ refers to young companies of any legal form and that have already been formally established and have a profile in the Built World Innovation Database, the Built World Innovation Contest, and the PropTech Map through their registration and creation of a startup profile.
2.2. “User” refers to person who uses the products of the Built World Innovation Network in a role other than as a startup. Certain features require users to register for free in advance.
2.3. The Built World Innovation Database (hereinafter referred to as Database) is an online directory for real estate companies and serves as platform for networking between companies and other market participants in the real estate industry.
2.4. The Built World Innovation Contest (hereinafter referred to as Contest) is an annually organised contest for companies in the real estate industry. For the contest, there are special terms of participation.
2.5. The PropTech Map is a toplist for companies in the real estate industry. It is available in various styles (worldwide, country specific). A placement on the PropTech Map requires an active profile in the database, and participation in the contest and results from the evaluation achieved in the course of the contest. There is no legal claim to a placement on the PropTech Map.
3.1. Prerequisite for the registration / creation of an account
3.1.1. Only real companies (sole proprietorships or companies) in the following sense are allowed to register in the role of a startup for the database and create an account.
3.1.2. Companies should not be older than 10 years.
3.1.3. The company needs to have a scalable business model.
3.1.4. The company must provide software and / or hardware and / or services whose core subject is real estate-related solutions in at least one of Invest, Market, Plan & Build, Work, Manage & Operate or Smart City.
3.1.5 Each startup may create one profile each. Should a company create more than one profile, BWI has the right to delete the doubles without question.
3.2. Public profile
3.2.1. Registered companies have the option to create a free public profile.
3.2.2. All information of the public profile and the founder profiles are freely available online for other companies and users.
3.2.3. Each public profile will be reviewed and approved by BWI before being published. There is no legal claim to the activation of the profile.
3.2.4. The startup or person responsible for the startup profile assures that all data stored in the profile (including all texts, images, and videos) are correct and do not contain offensive content or violate the rights of third parties. The acting person also assures that you are authorised to act on behalf of the respective startup.
3.2.5. The startup grants BWI the right to use the data of the public startup profile editorially (website, blog, PropTech Map, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn).
3.3. Contest survey
3.3.1. The Contest Survey supplements the data of the public Startup profile with further, more detailed startup data.
3.3.2. All Contest Survey data (with the exception of the founder profiles and company contact details) is not public. They will be made available exclusively to the panel of judges composed of the members and partners of the Built World Innovation Network for evaluation of the startup. An overview of the members and partners of this expert jury can be found on the BWI website.
3.3.3. The members and partners of the jury are committed to the confidential handling of the data from the Contest Survey. However, BWI assumes no liability for any possible misconduct of those members and partners.
3.4. Deletion of the startup profile / termination of the account
3.4.1. The startup has the right to terminate the account at any time.
3.4.2. Upon termination of the account all data of the public startup profile and the startup survey will be deleted completely and irrevocably.
3.4.3. With the termination of the account the participation in the contest automatically ends.
4.1 The use of the database is possible for free. However, the public startup profile view is limited to a maximum of three. Subsequently, a registration and the creation of a free user account is necessary.
4.2 Registration for basic users is for free.
4.3 To register, you must provide a valid e-mail address and personal details (name and company). The user assures that the information is true.
4.4 The user has the right to terminate / delete his account at any time. With the termination of the account all data of the user are irretrievably deleted.
5. Notifications / Newsletter
5.1.1. By registering or using the offer of the database as a startup or user, BWI has the right to send elementary messages to the e-mail address specified during the registration for the use of the database.
5.1.2. In addition, BWI can send topic-specific newsletters to the email address specified during registration. The startup or the user can unsubscribe at any time in his personal settings.
6. Final provisions
6.1. Should individual provisions of these terms and conditions be or become ineffective, inadmissible or unenforceable, this shall not affect the validity of the remaining terms and conditions.
6.2. The law of the Federal Republic of Germany shall apply . The legal process is excluded. Jurisdiction is Munich.
