Mrs. Monika Fontaine-Kretschmer has been Managing Director of the Nassauische Heimstätte/Wohnstadt Group, Frankfurt am Main, since July 2016.
She studied geography, economics and modern history at Saarland University in Saarbrücken and graduated with a degree in geography.
After working as a location planner for a retail company operating throughout Europe, she joined the group of companies in 1991, where she passed through all management levels until she was appointed Technical Managing Director in 2016. Her area of responsibility includes the most ambitious new construction programme in the company's recent history, with 5,000 apartments, the modernisation of the approximately 60,000 existing apartments, central purchasing and urban development.
She is currently deputy spokeswoman of the board of directors of the Federal Association "Die Stadtentwickler" e.V., head of the Federal Working Group for Urban Development in the GdW, member of the board of trustees of the EBZ and the VHW as well as of the advisory board of the DV, of aktiv plus e.V., of the Association for the Promotion of the Federal Foundation for Building Culture, of the Expert Committee for Urban Development in the GdW as well as of DASL.
